I don't think that I could be more in love with Sylar/Zachary Quinto right now.

His acting in this season of Heroes has been PHENOMENAL! I am continuously blown away by how amazing he is. No matter what he is playing, whether it be a gay Muslim Iranian, a Half-Vulcan/Half-Human, or a serial killer with mommy issues and memory problems, he is just amazing.

*basks in the glow that is the amazing oozing off Quinto*

How is it that Gareth David-Lloyd is only doing one panel? THat is so not fair!! I want more Ianto!!

I can haz teh dumb??

Gareth is in fact doing three panels, I'm just retarded. He is under G. Lloyd, not David-Lloyd like I expected. But yay for three panels, one of which is called "The Captain Jack Experience". That one should be fun :)

So I suck, and just want to wish a very happy (and very belated) birthday to the lovely Joshua Scott Chasez. I also want to wish a very happy (not so belated) birthday to the amazing Christopher Whitelaw Pine. (hehe, it makes me laugh every time. Whitelaw XD)

Grad school has kind of sucked my life away, but only cause I'm still settling in. It's not bad but I'm still getting my feet wet. I'll make a large post soon about how everything is... just not right now :)

PS. ONLY 8 DAYS TILL GARETH, LEONARD, THE SHAT, AND TOM!! SO EXCITED!!!!

So far, The Shat is only doing a panel on Friday. While I'm excited it is a panel with Leonard Nimoy, it sucks if this is the only panel. My parents can't come to this panel and really, it seems unfair to only do a Friday panel.

Maybe I'm jumping the gun.

>.>

But still, OMG SPOCK AND KIRK IN THE SAME ROOM, FTW!!

in totally unrelated news, the girl in the room next to my wall that has the suite next to mine keeps singing. Loudly. And it's annoying!

Only thing that would truly send me over the edge? Quinto.

I'm watching this documentary about Keith Haring and I didn't realize he was such good friends with Madonna when she was just getting started in the early 80s. Also, Andy Warhol was his mentor of sorts, really the mentor for the entire art movement during that time.

Other interesting things:
-Andy told people that Madonna was going to be the biggest thing ever before she was even known by other people.

-Yoko Ono was really good friends with Andy.

-Sean Lennon had both Andy Warhol and Keith Haring at one of his birthday parties. That just kind of blows my mind...

-Keith painted Grace Jones for a couple of performance pieces.

I really should go do my errands, but I'm sucked into this documentary.

This one lady (I don't remember who she is) made an awesome comparrison, so I thought I'd share.

"Andy was trying to make the normal into art. Keith was trying to make art normal."

I really have a whole in my contemporary art knowledge around the 80s. I think it's because some of these movements aren't as studied as some others, so maybe I'll look into fixing that :)

PS. I wanted to use my Andy Warhol icon, but I can't because I really need to upgrade my LJ. Maybe I'll run by and put money in my bank account. I wonder if they would look at me funny if I just put in $7? XD

I'm officially moved in!

I love my room, I have a great view of the city, I get a room to myself, it's great! The only thing I've got to learn to do is live with other people again. I haven't lived in a communal space like this since junior year (two years ago), so it's a bit of a readjustment period.

My suite mates are nice, though, at least the two I've met (one hasn't shown up yet). One is a freshman (oh 18 y/olds), and the other two are juniors. We have a floor meeting today at noon, so it should be interesting.

Also, there are so many boys! There are boys in my suite right now (my suite mates had people over last night), which is way different than the lovely all girls school I knew and loved for five years.

I'm on a mission to find good places to eat and to go hang out, hopefully some of which will be within walking distance. I love that I get to walk to class through the city. I really am a country girl, but I've always thought it'd be nice to live in the city for a little while to get it out of my system and enjoy that kind of life. It should be fun!!

After being in limbo since fucking May, I finally and officially HAVE A ROOM FOR GRAD SCHOOL!! It's a third-floor single in a suite with three other girls. YAY FOR A SINGLE!!!!

I was so used to my small private school's way of doing things where I knew before I left school where I was living that the past 3 months have been a constant pain in my ass. The move in days are next week, so the fact that I didn't know till now was really getting to me. I now have to buy stuff, pack, and all the other fun stuff that goes along with moving to college! I was so not going to pack until I was 100% sure, and now that I am, I totes am going to pack now!!

Actually. first, I think I am going to take a nap cause my head hurts, but OMG, so much happier because I know I have a room!!!

I went to see Rascal Flatts on Friday! It was a lot of fun! They are great in concert and put on a great show. It did, however, make me miss big stage shows, especially since the last concerts I went to were insanely small (Chris Young and Patrick Wolf).

It really made me miss the days when *N Sync concerts were once every year or so and they put on such a large show that you left feeling like you were part of the process, even when you were in the back. The pyrotechnics, jumbotrons, multiple costume changes, all that. I just miss it sometimes. Even back when Panic! did it, it was awesome. Now even they are small and rocky. I just don't like people that put on big shows anymore. Don't get me wrong; I do love the awesomely small rock concerts. I wouldn't trade them for anything, but I do miss other kinds of shows sometimes.

Wanna know what else is different about big country shows? The people that attend them. I think there was a memo somewhere that Rach, Nat, and I missed that said we were supposed to wear either a sundress with cowboy boots or a pair of ass shorts and a flannel shirt. And they are all kinds of weird and bitch too, these country twits. I'm used to rock show bitches, not country show bitches XD

Though I tried to imagine someone like Butch Walker doing a huge stadium show like RF did, and it kind of made me giggle. He is so awesome and humble and stuff, he wouldn't really know what to do with himself on a stage that big. But I still think he could rock it. Just in a totally different way than RF :)

Other than that, weekend was normal. All kinds of cramps (damn you PMDD), but I did play cards with Rachel and get a start on moving all my favs to my delicious. Mostly it is going to be fic, but really, why else do I use my favorites XD

Yesterday when I napped, I had the weirdest dream!

I was walking through the forest with Captain Jack, Sulu (George Takei), Scotty (Simon Pegg), and Eomer (Karl Urban). We had just taken part in a battle and were trying to get back to our base camp. After hearing something in the forest, Eomer shot an arrow and ended up shooting a giant horse. So they dragged it in, ala All Quiet On The Western Front, and pulled all the meat off.

Yes, in fact, my brain is a strange place XD

Also, I didn't realize that Gareth put together Sex, Wales, and Anarchy. That makes me happy :)

Entertainment Weekly put together two lists of the Top 20 worst romantic comedies. These are the ones I disagree with...

- PS I Love You - I cried like a baby in this movie & I totally enjoyed it!
- Wimbledon - How could this make the list? This is one of my fav RC, I've seen it SO MANY times! I think their criteria on this one is wrong! They said it was sleepy, but I loved every minute of it!
- Monster In Law - Ok, so I know this one was bad, but it really was fun to watch :)
- Beautician and the Beast - Ok, I figure most people would put this one on their list, but really, I hold a soft spot for it because I watched it all the time when I was little XD
- Wedding Date - I LOVE this movie! I've seen it a bunch! I know it is totes a knock off of Pretty Woman (which I also love), but I still love it!
- Made of Honor - Oh come on! What isn't to love? A man finally running after a woman that is about to get married? SO GOOD!
- Little Black Book - One of my friends described this movie to me before I watched it as a movie where the heroine didn't need a man in the end (why she loved it). I really enjoyed it too for this reason.

Granted, 7 out of 40 isn't that many to disagree with (though I haven't seen all 40), but really, some of these are way too good to be put on these lists.
